Job summary

The role of the incumbent is to prepare and serve food for all positions. He / she must ensure that the dishes meet Sesame presentation and quality standards. He / she will be called upon to supervise certain aspects of a shift in the absence of the Assistant Kitchen Manager and / or the Kitchen Manager. He / she works closely with all staff to ensure that operations run smoothly during service.

Functions

  • Plans daily production
  • Performs the set-up according to the recipe book
  • Execute recipes according to the recipe book
  • Serves dishes quickly and respecting the presentation procedure
  • Respects hygiene and sanitation standards
  • Est en mesure de suggérer des plats et des produits complémentaires
  • Manipule de l’argent et des cartes (crédit, débit)
  • S’assure que la caisse balance à la fin de chacun des quarts de travail
  • S’assure que la station de travail est adéquatement approvisionnée

Fonctions secondaires

  • Répond aux demandes d’informations des clients
  • Exécute la liste des tâches de ménage
  • Applique les normes d’hygiène et de salubrité

Requirements

  • Knowledge of French (spoken)
  • Knowledge of English (spoken) - If applicable
  • Have at least 1 year of experience in catering
  • Be result oriented
  • Knowing how to manage priorities
  • Be meticulous
  • Be independent
  • Be a team worker
  • between 20h to 40h / week (evenings and weekends)

Skills acquired after hiring

  • Knowledge of the household list, cleaning products and their procedures for use
  • Knowledge of menus and presentation standards
  • Connaissance des étapes de service

Work context

Must be able to work standing for extended periods of time. Most of the time the work is done indoors (except in summer when the terrace is open). The incumbent must manage moderate stress depending on the time of year.
