Job summary

The role of the incumbent is to greet customers with enthusiasm and ensure a pleasant experience through a positive attitude and extensive menu knowledge. He / she will have to work in direct collaboration with the cooks and waitresses.

Functions

  • Greet customers according to the service step guide
  • Takes orders over the phone and on site according to the procedure in place
  • Uses the POS system
  • Notes customer reservations (telephone and on-site)
  • Answer to customer inquiries
  • Is able to suggest complementary dishes and products
  • Handles money and cards (credit, debit)
  • Ensures that the cash register balances at the end of each shift
  • Ensures that the workstation is adequately supplied

Secondary functions

  • Answer to customer inquiries
  • Performs the household chores list
  • Applies hygiene and sanitation standards

Requirements

  • Knowledge of French (spoken)
  • Knowledge of English (spoken) - If applicable
  • Have good interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrate autonomy
  • Have a good capacity for adaptation

  • 20h / week (evenings and weekends)

Skills acquired after hiring

Work context

Must be able to work standing for extended periods of time. Most of the time the work is done indoors (except in summer when the terrace is open). The incumbent must manage moderate stress depending on the time of year.
