Job summary

The role of the incumbent is to prepare and serve food from a single station, ensuring that Sesame standards are respected. He / she works closely with all staff to ensure that operations run smoothly during service.

Functions

  • Prepares the food used in the preparation of dishes (cutting vegetables, cooking, recipe, portion, etc.)
  • Prepare dishes quickly, making sure to meet presentation standards
  • Respect hygiene and sanitation standards, health and safety rules
  • Ensures the cleanliness and order of his workstation and equipment
  • Cleans kitchen and equipment
  • Use cleaning products

Secondary functions

  • Directs recyclable items and waste to the appropriate dumpsters
  • Maintains the kitchen and equipment
  • Use the dishwashers if needed

Requirements

  • Knowledge of French (spoken and written)
  • Knowledge of English (spoken) - If applicable
  • Knowing how to manage priorities
  • Be meticulous
  • Be in good physical shape
  • Have good manual dexterity
  • 25h / week (evenings and weekends)

Work context

Must be able to work standing most of the shift and occasionally seated. Must be able to lift heavy loads and work in a hot environment for extended periods of time. Must manage high stress depending on the time of year.
