Job summary

The incumbent is responsible for welcoming and serving the client to provide them with a memorable dining experience through their positive and outgoing attitude. He / she works closely with all staff to ensure that operations run smoothly during service.

Functions

  • Greet customers according to the service step guide
  • Suggest complementary dishes and products
  • Presents orders to customers
  • Ensures compliance with the standards of presentation of dishes
  • Adequately supplies service stations
  • Clear and set up the tables
  • Uses the POS system
  • Handles money and cards (credit, debit)
  • Balance the batch closure at the end of each shift

Secondary functions

  • Answer to customer inquiries
  • Notes customer reservations (telephone and on-site)
  • Ensures the cleanliness of the premises
  • Follows hygiene and sanitation standards
  • Do daily cleaning according to the list and procedures for using cleaning products

Requirements

  • Knowledge of French (spoken)
  • Knowledge of English (spoken) - If applicable
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrate autonomy

Work context

Must be able to work standing for extended periods of time. Most of the time the work is done indoors (except in summer when the terrace is open). The incumbent must manage moderate stress depending on the time of year.
